Goal : Create graphical KPI dashboards using the tools available since the 2007 version of MS Visio to perform descriptive and analytical management of data from MS Excel, MS Access, MS SharePoint, SQL Server, etc.
Audience : This course is mainly designed for business decision-makers who are interested in dashboards or competing products like ProClarity or Cognos and want to compare them with MS Visio.
Prerequisites : Have followed the MS Visio foundation training.

- Introduction
- Required version of Visio for dashboards and KPIs (standard, pro or premium?)
- Opening and setting of the cross diagram template
- Connection and configuration to external data sources (MS Excel, Access, Project, SharePoint, SQL Server, etc.)

- Associate Departments or Processes shapes with descriptive boxes
- Control the arrangement and disable automatic organization
- Adding and removing subcategories (extend/hide)
- Activation of the Properties window
- Adding descriptive statistics
- Merging and filtering categories
- Link any shapes to a data source
- Link any diagram to a data source
- Customize the data grid
- Add offline shape data
- Create formulas with the ShapeSheet
- Create variable geometries with formulas using the ShapeSheet
- Publish to Visio Services pr Power BI (if SharePoint 2010 or higher available)
